Unconfirmed. Whitepages' help article gives no timeframe for the listing removal itself. It says only that search engines may show cached Whitepages data for 'up to 30 days in some cases'.

What you'll need

  • Exact Whitepages listing URL (ends in a reference ID, usually 11 characters)
  • A phone number that can receive an automated verification call
  • Enter a 4-digit code during the call
  • No email, account or ID required by the documented flow

Step by step

  1. Search your name with city and state on whitepages.com, click 'View Details' on your listing and confirm the phone/address are yours.
  2. Copy the listing URL from the address bar (e.g. whitepages.com/name/Example-A-Person/Seattle-WA/Abcd12345ef).
  3. Go to https://www.whitepages.com/suppression-requests, paste the URL and click 'Next'.
  4. Check the details on the confirmation page and click 'Remove Me'.
  5. Select a reason for the request (it does not affect the outcome) and click 'Next'.
  6. Enter your phone number, review the agreement and click 'Call Now to Verify'.
  7. Answer the automated call and enter the 4-digit code shown on screen.
  8. The page updates to confirm the removal is being processed.

Tips and gotchas

  • You need the specific listing URL; the opt-out form starts with 'Copy and paste the URL of your profile' (live form checked 2026-10-14, step 1 of 5).
  • Listings cannot be edited, only removed.
  • Whitepages says the phone number is used only to verify the request and will not be resold or shown on the site.
  • Search-engine results can show cached Whitepages data for up to 30 days after removal.
  • Whitepages' footer links 411.com and PeopleSearch.com; whether this opt-out also covers them is unconfirmed.
  • If you get stuck, use the 'Request Help' button to open a ticket with Whitepages Customer Care.

Will it stay removed?
