Tips and gotchas
- One suppression covers all four people-search sites: TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, Intelius and US Search.
- It does NOT cover Classmates.com, or account/user data you gave these sites. Use each site's privacy contact for that (Classmates: privacy@classmates.com).
- Reverse phone/address/email lookups may still show your name after suppression.
- Judges, law enforcement and other legally protected persons should email privacy@peopleconnect.us with the details the page lists, rather than (or as well as) using the tool.
- California residents can also use the state's DROP platform. Intelius's privacy policy says DROP 'does not apply to publicly available information' and recommends also using the Privacy Center/suppression tool.
- ZabaSearch: third-party guides (2026) say it is a PeopleConnect/Intelius property and sends removals to this same Suppression Center. PeopleConnect's own sister-site list does not name ZabaSearch, and zabasearch.com blocked automated checks, so treat this as unconfirmed.
Will it stay removed?
PeopleConnect says suppression only stops your Background Report appearing in NAME searches. Your name and other info 'may continue to appear in connection with certain features, for example, in phone, address or email reports' and on sex-offender lists. It adds that 'subtle discrepancies and inaccuracies in data may also make it difficult to remove everything associated with you', and asks you to contact them if you still see your data.
